by Patrick Hawthorne
Ummm… I thought it over. Well, actually I studied it out and I feel as if I made a serious eschatological blunder. Yes, I admit it. I, Patrick Hawthorne, the great theologian (NOT) made a mistake. In November of 2018, I posted Tipping that Ole Sacred Cow…The Bride of Christ. I have since studied this out and have come to the conclusion that the Bride of Christ is not New Jerusalem (Revelation 20:11), as I wrote. Nor is it the Church, nor is it the Old Testament Saints and Prophets.
“Gasp! What sayeth thou?BLASPHEMY!”
As I explain in the below Face Book Live video, I have come to the conclusion, through a serious study, that the Bride of Christ is made up of not only New Jerusalem, but includes the Church and the Old Testament Saints and Prophets. As I explain, a house is a structure. A home, on the other hand, is the structure plus its occupants. Similarly, New Jerusalem without the Body as a whole is just a city. With the Body, it is a Kingdom.
I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. That is quite alright. Dogmatism needs to be reserved for the essentials, not best educated eschatological guesses. Be blessed.
