Can You Feel it?

By Patrick Hawthorne

imagesI93UWN5MCan you feel it?  It’s in the air all around us.  What is it?  It is expectation; expectation of God’s glory divine about to be released upon the earth.  Can I explain this feeling?  No, I just know that I know.  Words flee from me.  Yet, the expectation is undeniable.  Not only is this expectation with me, but it is an unction shared by many who are watching and waiting.

Too many signs…too many happenings that defy any thoughts of coincidence.  When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near.  Those are the words of Jesus, not mine.  They are red letter words; words which must be heeded.  Look up!  Stand up!  Raise up from your stooped position and fix your gaze upon heaven.  Prepare yourself for the coming of the glorious One!

“Why bother”, some may scoff.  “We have long awaited the return of Jesus and He has not yet appeared.  Eat, drink, and be merry!  Time is plentiful.  There will be time for repentance later.”

O’ foolish one.  Do you not know that His return will be as a thief in the night? A time when those not looking are at slumber?  Wake up!  It is time to rise and shine!  Cast off your filthy coverings of self-righteousness.  Adorn yourself with the robe of righteousness fashioned by our Heavenly Father.

Rise up Church!  There is much work to be done!  Prepare yourself for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit! Can you hear the rain?  It is the former rain and the latter rain together. Make ready your heart.  Be prepared O’ hands and feet of the Lord.  We are about to embark on a mission orchestrated by the Holy One to usher countless numbers into the Kingdom of God!
